I think what keeps me grounded/rooted/from wanting to kill the world, is knowing that every project to which I’m dedicating my time was born out of integrity and honesty, and is an extension of my own morals and what I want the world to think of me. Like if I died today, what I would want my legacy to be. For Jose it’s family, but for me it’s just doing these routine check-ups on myself and my intentions. You alluded to the power of no, and I think when you start saying no to the things that aren’t deepening your character or furthering your legacy, and start saying yes to the things that are, you’re grounded. You’re sprouting roots.
